River Town Sketches - Fanfare

River Town Sketches gives an impression of the village of Rijsoord, located north of 'het Waaltje'. After the slow introduction 'Dawn', the pace picks up in the second part 'War'. Rijsoord has its place in history, as the Dutch surrender in World War II was signed here. The third part 'Pastorale' portrays the qualities of Rijsoord that made it an Artists' Colony. Finally, the current Rijsoord is shown in 'River Town', a fast section with great contrasts.
