Movie Time - Flexible Ensemble

Movie Time is a piece in which a youth orchestra can come up with its own story/film/play.

The work consists of three acts, each with two scenes. In each scene there are two moments where the story can be told (except the last scene). The first moment tells the main story, the second moment is a key moment that triggers the next scene.

These moments are loops in the music, so you have all the time you need. The structure is as follows:

• Act I – Scene I: introduction, TP: a problem
• Act I – Scene II: search for answers, TP: the solution
• Act II – Scene I: everything goes well, TP: no turning back
• Act II - Scene II: Obstacles and Complications, TP: Disaster!
• Act III - Scene I: Great Ash Pursuit, TP: Victory
• Act III – Scene II: Back to ordinary life
