The new album Soaring the Sky, recorded by Oranje Grootegast and Jan Werkman , will be released on Monday, February 13 on streaming platforms such as Spotify , YouTube Music and Apple Music .
The EP consists of: Saint Lambert , written for Jeduthun Oldemarkt and my first 'real' assignment. Soaring the Sky , an opening piece I wrote for the Youth Band of Crescendo Steenwijk . And Where Words Fail , the piece I wrote for my father.
The recording process was very exciting for me, it was the first time I recorded multi-track and then did everything myself. The orchestra was well prepared and sounded super good, so the recording went very smoothly.
The EP is called Soaring the Sky, because I wrote the work of the same name in total freedom, without worrying about rules and what people would think of it. That's how I approached this album: free and without restrictions.
